
Zambia international goalkeeper, Kalililo Kakonje made his debut for his club Amazulu this afternoon. Kakonje who was part of the Chipolopolo squad at the Ghana 2008 was in goal for the 'Usuthu' after sitting out the first two games on the bench.
Amazulu hosted Golden Arrows in the South African Premier Soccer League,PSL this afternoon. Unfortunatetly, Kakonje conceded the only goal of the match in the 19th minute. Kakonje made string of saves to deny Joseph Musonda's Golden Arrows.
Musonda played the full match while hard tackler Billy Mwanza is still out with an ankle injury he sustained at the AFCON.

Kakonje was signed from division one Nathi Lions in December,2007. The former Power Dynamos and Lusaka Dynamos shot stopper started his South African adventure with Golden Arrows but he failed to displace former international goalkeeper and 1996 AFCON bronze medalist Davies Phiri.
After being frozen on the bench, he moved to Nathi Lions were he spent five months before former Bafana Bafana and now 'Usuthu' coach Clive Baker snapped him.
Kakonje and Davies Phiri's duel started at the national team in 2004. The 23 year old handed Phiri's early international retirement after displacing him from the Chipolopolo set up.
In another PSL match played today, striker James Chamanga continued his remarkable goal scoring spree after netting a face saver in his club 4-1 loss to Santos.

Chamanga has just returned from trials in Norway and he was installed to the starting line up. Chamanga is the leading scorer in the PSL with 11 goals, who is closely followed by Oralando Pirates's Excellent Walaza who has 10 goals.
Zambia national soccer team first choice goalkeeper, Kennedy Mweene was in goal as his club, Free State Stars continued their remarkable return to the top flight with a 1-0 victory over local rivals Bloemfontein Celtic in an Absa Premiership match on Wednesday afternoon.
Defender Chintu Kampamba also played the full match.
Former Chambishi and Orlando Pirates striker, Davies Mwape was dropped to the bench after string of poor perfomances for the 'Enzenkosi' in the last few games. Jomo Cosmos got a valuable 1-1 draw against Supersport. The Jomo Sono coached 'Enzenkosi' are rocked bottom of the PSL log.
And finally, Noah Chivuta missed BidVest's 1-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs. Chivuta is still serving a three match ban after he picked a straight red card.
