In a pair of games this past week, Brondby IF drew 1-1 twice. In a karmatic twist of faith, they equalized during the midweek in the final 5 minutes, but on the weekend were drawn level via conceding a 90th minute goal.
Brondby was controlling the play for the majority of sunday's match at Aarhus GF, taking a first half lead. Chris Katongo was unable to find the back of the net, his best chance coming from just over the half-way line as he sent a lobbing ball at goal in an attempt to catch the goalkeeper off his line. The Aarhus backstop was able to retreat and extend himself to narrowly push the ball over the bar. The lack of finishing proved to be costly, a cross in the final minute of play bounced through the box, and amongst a number of flying bodies from both teams, the ball was struck into the back of the net.
Earlier in the week, despite not starting Wednesday's match against Viborg FF, Katongo was brought onto the match in the 65th minute with his side trailing 1-0. The Tsunami did just what he was brought into the game to do, finishing a free header in front of the net after a cross from the right side was flicked on to his path. The highlights can be found below.
Brondby moved up to 7th place in the Superligaen.
