A Lusaka police officer has been shot dead by bandits after he and his colleagues were attacked and disarmed on Saturday night.
The officer identified as Sergeant, Eugene Chitankwa, was an athlete and the Zambia Amateur Athletics Association (ZAAA) has described him as having been a resilient and hardworking person.
