I understand we are desperate to win some major game , but Zambians are so backward that we still can't produce world class coaches train our team?we produce first class players.

This is 2008 how long has zambia been playing soccer and when you look at the best teams we've had all had indigines as coaches, but it is zambia when you are seen to put your best just when you are almost there your wings are clipped saying ayamba kuzinvela tiza mukonza attitude which to me is really backward thinking,BS.

The amount of money you'll be paying Renard you coukld send a team of trainee coaches to study the techniques of soccer, administration etc because that is an enterprise you are running a concept FAZ i'm sure know,

The National Team is a mutli-million dollar($)yes dollars not Kwacha industry the govt has failed to realise it's potential, just look at how much the traded players make for the teams they play for in europe, the teams are huge money makers you are talking endorsements, ads etc.Do you know that early 2000's Miller breweries of the US wanted to sponsor the national team forZMK400 million?for a couple of years correct me if i'm wrong some corrupt guy went to Adidas who give *** attires for our national pride.

We should hold these people accountable for anything they do,in cultures where there is accountability every one is responsible to everyone and that ensures success.in zambia as long as nikudya mushe nothing matters, even hiring coaches FAZ should account why they hired hiim over zambians.if we need ten local coaches on the national team so be it,the national team can be great if FAZ was taught discipline, may be you need to sent these fat cats to boot camp where some staff sarge can make them open their eyes.

PEACE imwe!

I know what you mean, domestic coaches would certainly be a positive. Sending a group to hone their skills abroad would be a good idea, but it does nothing for the short-term. I think it will come over time, whether the FAZ helps or not. I don't want to bring up bad memories, but I think 2-3 quality coaches would have come out of the 1993 squad, plus the experiance that could have been passed down from Chitalu and others. I think the system is overall going to be on the incline over the next few years, I would have been interested to see if Lwandamina could handle the national team, he did well in the U-20 WC last summer.

I did not know that about the brewery sponsorship, I would be interested to know more about what happened with that.

Lastly, discipline is a huge problem, I agree. A fitness coach is almost as important as a head coach. There is no excuse for the decline of Mbesuma, nutrition and lifestyles should be taught to the players just like set pieces.
