Programme Overview
The degree programme in Economic Policy Management is a specially designed programme of study leading to a Master of Arts degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Zambia. The aim of the programme is to improve the efficiency of the public and private sectors through the enhancement of capacity for economic policy analysis and management. The Programme trains students to be economic policy managers who will contribute to the management capacity of government ministries, central banks, state-owned and non-governmental organizations.
Programme Requirements
The programme spans economics, management and policy analysis. The degree is designed to be completed over three semesters. The normal course load is five courses per semester. Students must complete and pass all courses and will be required to do a policy research paper during the third semester.
Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission to the programme are as follows;
Preferences will be given to candidates in the early stages of their career with a minimum of three years of experience in a policy relevant position in a government, parastatal or non-governmental organization. They should demonstrate a commitment to a career in economic policy management.
Applications And Deadlines
All applicants must submit their completed applications by April, 30, 2008. Applications from self-sponsored students and foreign students may be considered after April 30, 2008.
