    Should Zambians hold dual Citizenships

Seeing that there is a chronic brain drain in Zambia, should all those Zambians who have gone abroad hold dual citizenship? Should we allow them to come back if they have changed citizenships? (the law in Zambia currently does not allow for dual Citizenship in Zambia and many abroad say they will not come back to help if they are not granted this opportunity to hold duo Citizenship)

Re: Should Zambians hold multiple Citizenships

I think dual citizenship should be supported on the condition that the person is required to visit Zambia at least once every 5 years to renew their citizenship. This will help ensure that there is some money being invested in the country from the Zambian citizen holding the dual citizenship.

True, I see no problem with duel citizenship. If your true country is somewhere else and you reside in another country, having this type of regime is absolute. But duel citizenship is not multi-citiizenship. It would be very costly if something like this existed until your were some sort of political structure holding office or of one of the members of a regulartory agency.   blount
