I was born in Ndola Zambia, in 1977. I spent carefree toddler years, chasing my older brother through endless Mango & Guava tree's in the Copper Belt in the early 80's. My brave parents sent me away, to join my elder sister in Michigan in 1985 to get a 'better' education. Five years later, we returned to Zambia, then to Malawi to do some missionary work. I was briefly reunited with both my parents, brothers, sister, endless lines of aunts, uncles, cousins...etc.
After returning back to the U.S in 1994, I finished my high school years in Kent Washington. The year of my graduation my beloved father died. Never did he see his baby girl, walk to recieve that diploma. Yet he gave up so much.
I just miss my beloved Zambia. Some day prehaps I shall take my little girls there to run through vibrant orchids, filled with endless Mangos & Guava trees. They're musical giggle's rising with the sun, in the African sky. My parents always said that through God all things are possible. To just have faith...
