Liberia has banned students from wearing artificial hair extensions such as weaves or attachments at school. Education Minister Joseph Korto told the BBC it was a way of "instilling moral discipline in our young people". He said students are also banned from wearing skirts or trousers that expose their underwear in any way.
Sorry, but why dont we do the same for men??? Why dont we cover ourselves completely so our "underwears" also dont show... as this also attracts women!! Beauty is an art, and it can be expressed in many ways... with or without clothes or with or without fake hair. I am sorry but the world is too diverse and people are are subjected to diverse environments... however, if this way of percieving life works for a particular society, well and good! But it should not be imposed on anyone who chooses to differ.

I don't understand why hair extensions would be a moral issue.
Short skirts and open tops etc I can perfectly understand. But what's the deal with the hair?
I really don't understand the morality of banning hair extensions either. They don't say anything about whether students without hair extensions perform better or anything of that sort -- only that it is not traditional or simple enough. There are many other fights to fight.
