Chris 'The Tsunami' Katongo is in the starting lineup for 9th place Brondby as they play a big league match today against league leaders AaB. This match is of great importance to AaB, as a win would see them clinch the league title, even a draw would give them enough points to be be equal to the maximum amount of points second place Copenhagen could possibly reach.
The match has just kicked off, Brondby attacking from right to left in the first half. Game updates to follow...
4th minute
- Katongo is caught with a late challenge after a volley pass near the mid-way line. The defender got his boot high and into the side of Chris' shin. A free kick is awarded to Brondby as Katongo is able to walk off his pain.
12th minute
- The usually boisterous Brondby support is in full effect today, despite being the away team in the match they continue to push their team forward. Unfortunately AaB is showing why they are in first place, stifling any Brondby attempt at attacking. Long balls are being played to Katongo, however his options are quickly nullified as he is closed down immediately and passing options are being covered.
25th minute
- The game is being played mostly in the midfield, very little possession time by Brondby in the attack third, their first real chance on goal was a low shot from 30 yards away.
